The song has been stuck in my head the last few days. It came up yet again Friday, when I was on my laying bike from Amsterdam to my parents' house in Bovenkarspel. If you have the Dutch map in your head and think, wow that's pretty far! Then you're right. It's pretty far. Don't forget the little motor though, which enables me to cheat and make far, become not so far :)
So while I was biking the many, many kilometers, this song was running through my head again. And I thought to myself, that (though this wasn't the intention of the song) to me it actually applies to God. Literally and figuratively. The fact that I got a motor from the government is, to me, a God thing. Which makes Him the wind beneath, well, my wheels. Whether the wind is with me or against (in this case strongly against), I'm able to zoof ahead! God's giving me wind.
But He also gives me wind figuratively. Sometimes when I stop to think of how far I've come, how I'm (usually) so filled with optimism and humor, how I've even written a book, I feel - God, thank You for being the wind beneath my wings. You enable me to soar! Did You know that You're my hero?!
